This is the official channel of Niihama City, Ehime Prefecture.
Niihama City is located in the center of the Seto Inland Sea side of Shikoku with a population of about 125,000.
The city prospered with the opening of the Besshi Copper Mine in （ 1691 ） and has become one of the leading coastal industrial cities in Shikoku with a belt of factories in the coastal area.
On April 1, 2003, it merged with Besshiyama Village, which shared the cultural and historical background of the Besshi Copper Mine.
Currently, the city aims to create an attractive city with the city image of "－ City of Akagane, City of Smiles － Industry ・ City of Environmental Symbiosis.
